Craftcrowd economy

Crowns

Crowns are the money on Craftcrowd. You earn them by playing and spend them with other players – in chest shops, at the auction house or hand to hand. Each server keeps its own purse, and there is no way to buy crowns with real money.

How to earn crownsCommands

Earning

Playing pays

  • 100crowns to start, once per server
  • 10crowns per 15 minutes of active play
  • 160crowns a day at most from play time
  • €0crowns cannot be bought, anywhere
  • Active means active. After 5 minutes without moving, chatting or clicking, the clock stops. Standing AFK earns nothing.
  • The cap resets at midnight (Berlin time). About four hours a day bring you the full 160.
  • Everything else comes from other players. The server buys nothing from you and sells no resources. Crowns only change hands.
  • No coins in your pocket. Crowns sit in your account, not in your inventory. You cannot drop them, lose them when you die or have them stolen from a chest.

Two purses

Each server counts for itself

Crowns from Survival are not visible on Lifesteal, and the other way round. Both start you at 100.

When a Lifesteal season ends, its crowns end with it: the next season opens a fresh account with 100. On Survival your balance stays.

Trading

Shops, auctions, hand to hand

Every fee disappears. It goes to no account – not even ours. That keeps prices from running away.

Chest shop

Your own shop

Look at a chest holding your goods and type /qs create <price>. Setting it up costs 100, changing the price later 10. When something sells, 3 % of the takings go.

Auction

The auction house

/ah opens it: buy what others offer or list your own item. When it sells, 5 % of the price go, paid by the seller.

Direct

Paying a player

/pay <player> <amount> sends whole crowns, free of charge. Possible after 60 minutes of play time on that server, at most 5,000 a day; from 1,000 you confirm once more.

Survival

More land

/buyclaimblocks <amount> buys claim blocks at 1 crown each. There is no selling them back.

Worked example with the real fees (test on 21 Oct 2026).

The same goes for chest shops: two diamonds for 20 crowns leave the seller with 19.40. Prices are set by the players – nobody tells you what a diamond is worth. If you are new, look around the market and the auction house first.

Lifesteal

Hearts are not for sale

On Lifesteal a few things cannot be traded at all – neither in chest shops nor at the auction house. They are what the season is fought over.

  • Hearts – and with them every nether star, because the heart is one.
  • Totems of undying.
  • All potions, splash and lingering ones too.
  • The revival beacon. Ordinary beacons stay tradeable.

Every booking is logged with time, amount and both players. Large payments without anything in return stand out there. More on hearts: Lifesteal.

Fair

Crowns are never for real money

No shop package, no rank, no season pass tier pays out crowns – and nothing you can buy turns into crowns. That is what Mojang's rules ask for, and it is how we want it: in the economy, only playing counts.

What the shop sells

Frequently asked

Can I buy crowns?

No. Not in the shop, not from us and not through a rank or the pass. Selling crowns or items for real money outside the game breaks the server rules.

Do my crowns move between Survival and Lifesteal?

No. Each server keeps its own account, so nobody can farm on one server and buy their way up on the other.

What happens to my crowns at the end of a season?

On Lifesteal they end with the season, just like the world. The next season starts everyone at 100. Your Survival crowns are not affected.

Can I lose crowns when I die?

No. Crowns are not an item. What you carry in your inventory drops as usual; your balance stays.

Are there crowns in the lobby?

No. The lobby is for meeting up and picking a server; money only exists on Survival and Lifesteal.
